“We in the Church of Scientology wish to emphasize that Mr. Miscavige fully cooperated with the authorities in Los Angeles,” stated Janet Weiland of Scientology’s Office of Special Affairs in Hollywood.

“There really was no need for Mr. Miscavige to be handcuffed and literally ‘dragged into court’ in broad daylight as if he were some sort of scofflaw or refusenik,” Weiland noted.
